Spocklight Podcast (Liam Dempsey & Matt Brothers)
Again I will say that I was getting worried. However, in the space of three days I had recorded three episodes, with this as the second (the third will be a part of Season Two in the new year), and I think we started recorded at 22:00 on Wednesday the 11th of November 2020, for release on Monday 23rd.
Now that might sound like plenty of time, but as someone who works so many hours, and having the show recorded the previous day to edit as well, it meant cutting my sleeping time so that I could fit in the time to do both.
As it turned out, I completed the edit five hours before the show was due!
Luckily for me, Liam & Matt were both very well prepared for the show, so the chat was right on point! There are a couple of F words that I covered up though, and I’ve realised in a rush of editing that I left a “bullshit” in the previous episode!
The chat lasted for a good long time, coming out after editing at around two hours and two minutes long! That was from an initial two hours and forty-something minutes of chattage!
It was great talking with the guys, although it was a shame that the third host of their show, Paul, was unable to make it…
Mind you, as he was the only one of the three who has a serious history with Star Trek before their series started, it’s possible that he and I might have talked more about bits, and the recording might have lasted four hours and have been turned into a two-parter like Best Of Both Worlds, The Menagerie, Year Of Hell, Past Tense, The Search, Shockwave, Time’s Arrow…
Anyway, I think it’s a great episode, with two great people as guests.
